Video: LAWMA Workers Resign, Submit Their Uniforms In Protest Of Unpaid Salary

Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) workers were videoed submitting their uniforms after unpaid salaries. Gistvic reports.

During the protest, The angry LAWMA staffs claimed to have been working all through the lockdown without payment.

We could recall, There was a peaceful protest led by the Mrs. Ola Williams, LAWMA contractor known as Iron Lady, over their pending salaries of May and June as well as for April for some workers.

“We are not treated well. Why would the 66 routes under my care be neglected? They are widows, single mothers and the aged, and left without money to care for themselves.We will go nowhere. We must get our salaries. I am ready to die for my people,” Iron Lady said during the protest.

“We are not doing again, take your clothes”, Protesters said as they drop their LAWMA uniform.
