Acting Managing Director of the NDDC, Daniel Pondei has fainted during a public hearing interrogation on July 20, 2020 — he slowly slumped over his desk.
This is during the committee fourth day of public hearing as it investigates alleged financial misappropriation at the agency.
Pondei passed out after he failed to defend the N1.3 billion he approved to provide COVID-19 palliative for members of the Commission. He also could not defend the N640 million he approved to one clear point communications limited.
Pondei appeared to have been in a seizure when he was being asked about the money meant for students on scholarship.
A man was seen holding his mouth wide open while others tried to sit him up. He was later carried out of the session.
