5th Evacuation: 300 Stranded Nigerians Arrive Lagos International Airport From U.S

Three hundred Nigerians who have been stranded in the United States of America arrive Murtala Muhammed International Airport. Lagos today, August 1st 2020.

We could recall, The Federal Government approved the 5th Evacuation flight for Nigerians stranded in the United States of America. A statement from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, said the Ethiopian airline, flight number ET547 will leave George Bush international airport Houston, Texas on Friday 31, July 2020 by 16:00 hours and arrive Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos on Saturday 1st August 2020 by 20:00 hours.

300 Nigerians have finally arrive the International Airport at about 1500HRS today via Ethiopian Airlines.

All Evacuees tested Negative to Coronavirus before boarding and will proceed on a 14-day Self-Isolation as mandated Presidential Task Force on Covid-19.

This brings the number of evacuees from the US to a total of 1,430.
