Davyon Johnson: Muskogee Boy, 11, Saves Choking Classmate & Woman From House Fire
An 11-year-old student Davyon Johnson at Muskogee Public Schools is becoming a viral sensation after he helped save two people in one day, his classmate and a woman.
Davyon Johnson, according to school officials, used the Heimlich Maneuver on another student who was choking last week. Davyon spotted a house fire after school that day and hurried to help a woman with a walker get out of the house.
“I thought ‘oh, she’s not moving fast enough.’ So I ran across the street and helped her to her truck,” said Davyon.
At the school board meeting on Tuesday, Davyon was acknowledged by the superintendent and Muskogee Police. When he grows up, Davyon says he wants to be an EMT.
Muskogee Police Department and Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office presented Johnson with a certificate denoting him as an honor member of their force.m as an honor member of their force.
