Destanni Mone Henderson is a basketball player for the South Carolina Gamecocks of the Southeastern Conference in the United States (SEC).

She won three straight state titles while playing for Fort Myers Senior High School in her hometown of Fort Myers, Florida.

Henderson was a McDonald’s All-American as well as a five-star recruit and the number one point guard in the 2018 class, according to ESPN.

She made the First Team All-SEC as a senior after becoming a full-time starter in her junior season at South Carolina, when she helped lead the Gamecocks to the Final Four.

Henderson is a member of the United States national team and earned gold in the FIBA AmeriCup in 2021.

Henderson led her team to its first Class 6A state victory as a sophomore, averaging 15.3 points, 4.3 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and three steals per game.

ESPN rated Henderson as a five-star prospect and the best point guard in the 2018 class.

She chose South Carolina over Notre Dame, Tennessee, Ohio State, North Carolina State, and Florida State as her collegiate basketball team on January 15, 2017.

Henderson got a scholarship offer from South Carolina when he was in seventh grade, and head coach Dawn Staley drew him there.

Since A’ja Wilson in 2014, she has been the program’s highest-ranked recruit.
