Social Media Reacts Over Rumors of Wizkid’s Apple Music Ban Following “KESE” Streaming Controversy
Social media has been flooded with reactions following allegations that Afrobeat sensation Wizkid might be banned from uploading his music on Apple Music.
The rumors stem from claims that the platform detected inflated streaming numbers for his latest single, “KESE,” allegedly boosted by bots in a practice commonly referred to as “farming.”
Adding to the speculation, reports suggest that “KESE” has mysteriously disappeared from Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Songs chart.
Fans have taken to social media to voice their opinions, with some mocking the situation and others expressing disbelief.
One user bluntly stated, “Jesus, he is truly finished,” while another joked, “Na the KASA KASA wey dey always come after the KESE KESE be this.”
Another commented, “I said it, imagine 1.5 million on the first day as if na ghost dey stream the music, and the next day it drops to 800k… Ha!”
The discussion has also sparked accusations of bias, with one fan claiming, “If na Davido, all these bloggers for don post am finish.”
