Madeline Miller: Flossmoor Woman, 64, Shot by Police
A Flossmoor woman identified as Madeline Miller died on Sunday after she was shot by police officers. She was 64.
According to Flossmoor police, Officers shot at her when responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The woman was holding a knife when Flossmoor officers arrived at the door of her apartment shortly after noon Sunday, and officers then shot her. According to Illinois State Police
The woman was identified by the Cook County medical examiner’s office as Madeline Miller. She was pronounced dead shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday at Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, according to the medical examiner’s office. Chicago Tribune reported.
Miller’s death was ruled a homicide after suffering multiple gunshot wounds, according to the medical examiner’s office.
The Illinois State Police Public Integrity Task Force is investigating the shooting incident.
