Traci Braxton Dies Of Cancer At Age 50

Traci Braxton, the sister of Toni Braxton have passed away at the age of 50. She died of cancer according to reports.

In a statement about his wife’s passing, Surrat said, “We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatment for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory.” Kevin Surratt, Traci’s husband, told TMZ.

Traci Braxton had four sisters, Toni, Towanda, Tamar, and Trina, who all appeared on the family’s reality show, ‘Braxton Family Values,’

Toni Braxton, Braxton’s older sister, conveyed her grief on Instagram, along with a statement from the entire Braxton family.

“It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci. Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly.” She wrote.

“Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake. We ask that you respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life. We are family forever. Love, The Braxton Family”.

Braxton was a member of a musical quartet with her sisters in the 1990s until Toni became the breakout star and went solo. Toni’s sisters and she would occasionally perform on stage as support dancers.
