Brazilian star Joao Pedro signs new contract with Watford
João Pedro Junqueira Jesus, known as João Pedro, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for EFL Championship club Watford.
Joao has signed a new contract with Watford running until the summer of 2028. The cub announced.
The Brazilian starlet – who will be turning 21 on Monday (September 26) initially agreed to join the Golden Boys while a youth player at Fluminense in his home country back in October 2018.
Joo Pedro made his Hornets debut in the Emirates FA Cup against Tranmere Rovers three days after becoming an official Watford player on January 1, 2020, and his league debut came the following June, against Southampton.
Newcastle United and Everton are said to have made bids for the Brazilian, but neither was accepted by the Hornets.
Rather than continuing to bargain with the Watford board, those two clubs went in opposite directions, signing Alexander Isak and Neal Maupay, respectively.
