Valencia signs Iago Herrerin as new goalkeeper, replacing injured Domenech
Valencia have signed Iago Herrern as a replacement for the injured Domènech. The offer is valid until 2023.
Herrerin will join Mamardashvili and Cristian Rivero as Valencia goalkeepers.
The 34-year-old was previously with Athletic Bilbao and joins VCF as a free agent. He had previously been playing in Saudi Arabia with Al Raed.
“It was a bet from the Club towards me. It was important for me to return to the top competition, to Europe, which is what I was looking for. This opportunity could not be missed.” Iago said, According to VCF Media.
” The first thing is commitment. I think that all the coaches who have had me have put the commitment into my head.
“My way of being inside the locker room. I have never made a bad face for not playing. On the contrary, I have always tried to push and help.
“When all the goalkeepers are doing well and there is a lot of competition, that is when the team is at its best. I come here to push, help and compete, which is what everyone wants.”
